What is PAT Testing?
It is any kind of electrical equipment which derives its power via a flexible cable and/or plug top. The most common being a 13a, 3 pin plug top
Examples of these are: Computers, kettles, fridges, photo-copiers, lamps, fans, heaters, TVs, DVDs, toasters, hand held tools, mobile phone chargers etc...
"We decided to use EAGLE FM because of their competitive prices; however it is due to their high levels of service that we shall definitely use them again."

WHEN THERE IS SO MUCH LEGISLATION OUT THERE
The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 places the responsible for the safety of electrical equipment on the shoulders of the employer.
The requirements of the regulations clearly determine the necessity for electrical safety testing.
You need to have all your portable appliances checked by a suitably qualified person!
Should you fail to do so you leave yourself open to serious criminal proceedings in the case of a fault where harm is caused to any person.
PAT is not an option, it is essential.
If you have not been recently tested you should telephone us today on 0870 241 6520 or e mail charrison@eaglefm.co.uk and we will contact you with the quote.

The UK Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1989 requires that “every employer shall ensure that work equipment is so constructed or adopted as to be suitable for the purpose for which it is used or provided”.
“As may be necessary to prevent danger, all systems shall be maintained so as to prevent so far as reasonably practicable, such danger.”This means that employers (and the self-employed) have a duty of care to ensure that all electrical work equipment is safe, suitable for the purpose and properly maintained in good order. PAT testing is the best way you can fulfil this obligation.
The greatest economies are those gained from the trust built over a long term sustainable relationship. |
